You need to switch to the nbn network once it is in your area because it replaces your existing internet connection. You've got 18 months from the date that the nbn network is available at your address to do so, but the earlier you switch the sooner you can start enjoying the benefits of the nbn network.

Switch now and avoid the cut off date.

nbn co gives you 18 months to switch to the nbn network from when they let you know that the nbn network is available at your address. After that 18 month period is up, your old internet and phone line won't work. The good news is, it's easy to switch with Telstra.
